The Hushamok Organic Hammock is an innovative sleep hammock designed to provide you and your baby the most restful sleep. While flat and static surfaces like cribs and Moses baskets are foreign to babies, the hammock in combination with the Hushamok Oakoa Wood or aluminum stand (sold separately) mimics the womb by creating a gentle, rhythmic rocking motion so baby sleeps better and longer. Safety Because of the natural motion of the Organic Dream Hammock, carbon dioxide is not trapped around the baby which, when re-breathed, is said to be one of the causes of SIDS. The Hushamok Experience has been tested and passed the mechanical testing under the US Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) Certification Program. Also passes the EU certification program for Safety Requirements and Test Methods for Cribs and Cradles for the relevant EN 1130 requirements. Design The unique design reduces strain on baby’s spine and nerves by maintaining the natural primary curve of the spine. Other baby hammocks have no form, which could compromise babies breathing and spinal support. The addition of the EVA foam insert conforms to baby's shape and prevents any dipping in the middle. The upright, angled position assists babies with natural sleep, colic and reflux. The Organic Hammock also reduces the development of Flat Head Syndrome, Plagiocephaly, because baby's head weight is distributed more evently to the rest of the body. Natural Mat Coco Crib Mattress
The Coco Mat is the most breathable and organic cot mattress. It is made from coir (the husk of a coconut) from the only organic coir plantation in the world and is certified by Control Union, one of the world's most reputable inspection organizations for organic products. The coir is coated with a natural latex to add extra support and spring to the cot mattress. An anti-dust mite lambswool lines the inside of the mattress adding comfort, good ventilation and insulation. The Coco Mat creates a safe, comfortable and natural sleeping environment for any crib. Where does coir come from? Coir comes from coconut husks. The husks are soaked for up to six months, the coir fibres are then recovered from the coconut pulp by a beating process which separates the fibres from the pith of the outer skin of the coconut. The fibres are then dried and coated with a natural latex solution to make the coir more supportive and breathable. It is then placed in a heated press which compresses the product to the density and thickness we require for our mattresses.
